A revamped mobile app
We redesigned and reworked the whole Flutter app the client already had, instead of starting from zero.
Catalog that matches the store
Products, variations, filters and vendors come straight from the existing WooCommerce and Dokan setup, so the web store and the app stay in sync.
Flexible checkout
Coupons, cash on delivery and online card payment, with order history in the app.
The problem
An ecommerce client ran a multi-vendor marketplace on WordPress with WooCommerce and Dokan, with many vendors listing products, and it already had a mobile app. Shoppers expect to filter products by size, colour and other variations, browse by seller, save favourites, apply coupons and pay the way they prefer, including cash on delivery. The app needed a team to take it over and revamp it, while keeping it working with the existing catalog and order system.
The solution
We took over the existing Flutter app for Android and iOS and revamped the whole mobile app, redesigning and reworking it on top of the client's existing WooCommerce and Dokan backend. The backend and the original app were already in place before we joined; our work is the mobile app revamp and the releases since. Shoppers browse the catalog with product variations and filters, search, keep a wishlist, and check out with coupons, cash on delivery or online payment gateways. Vendor storefronts let shoppers browse by seller, and the cart groups items by store. Sign-in works with Google, Facebook, Apple or a phone number, and push notifications keep shoppers informed about their orders. The app has localization support.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you take over and revamp an existing ecommerce app?
Yes. We took over an ecommerce client's multi-vendor shopping app and redesigned and reworked the whole mobile app, while the client's existing WooCommerce and Dokan backend stayed in place.
Can the app work with our WooCommerce and Dokan store?
Yes. Products, variations, filters and vendor stores come from the client's existing WooCommerce and Dokan setup, so vendors keep managing their products in one place.
What payment and sign-in options does the app support?
Shoppers can pay by cash on delivery or online card payment and apply coupon codes. They can sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple or a phone number.
What technology do you use for apps like this?
We use Flutter, so one codebase covers Android and iOS. The backend is WordPress with WooCommerce and the Dokan multi-vendor plugin, Firebase sends push notifications, and the app has localization support.
